By Fran Halsall - a selection of photographs from her new book"The Peak District"
From 11th March to 13th April 2008
Since the 1932 mass tresspass of Kinder Scout, the Peak District has grown in popularity among walkers and ramblers to become the second most visited national park in the world, after mount Fuji in Japan.
Photographer Fran Halsall presents a stunning photographic portrait of its many moods through the seasons, from the heather moorland and exposed sandstone outcrops of the Dark Peak to the limestone hills and wild flower grasslands that characterise the White Peak. Her informed and inspirational text celebrates the Peak Park's beauty, heritage and drama and explores the relationship between Man and Nature in this changing and complex landscape.
Framed photographs are available at the gallery from £125.00 and also Fran's book at £14.99

Kristan's style never stands still. He is always looking to try new ways of using traditional media. Some paintings in the exhibition are oil paint onto paper which, together with a softer pallet, create a completly different sense of light. These paintings have an altogether flatter surface to the paint in marked contrast to his work on canvas.
